Default Mini Camp Tweets

Here are some random observations:

Just asked Shaun Phillips about his role replacing Elvis: "I'm a proven player in this league"

Vic Lombardi Vic Lombardi ‏@VicLombardi 13m

Champ couldn't stop raving about the development of Thomas and Decker. Says they're better than ever.

https://twitter.com/viclombardi

Peyton says Hillman to have bigger role this yr, not just limited to subpackage like last year #broncos OTAs day 1

Side by side easy to see differences between Osweiler & Dysert - Oz standing out today, Dysert needs work #broncos OTAs day1

Wes Welker is sooooo quick, it hurts my ankles just watching him cut #broncos OTAs day1

Brock Osweiler has a cannon, throwing with lots of heat, footwork improved, proper hip snap & light on his feet #broncos OTAs day1

Peyton Manning's arm looks stronger - throwing with plenty of zip #broncos OTAs day1

High marks for dt and decker. Can see they already have better chemistry. pic.twitter.com/zmXJjT0Eu3

Rahim says he got a ton of support from other nfl guys

Happy for broncos to bring in Woodson. Never has backed away from competition. Dawkins talked to him off season

Champ feels like the team is stacked at corner. On Woodson. I'm all for it
Champ has talked to him briefly. Any team in league would love to have him

1. Nate Irving is starting MLB
2. Kayvon Webster (in a picture) guarding Andre Caldwell
3. Von Miller (in a picture) lined up at RDE

With Walton out, who's the center snapping to Manning? Ramirez or Blake?

Hopefully it's Blake.

@MaseDenver: Chris Harris, once more showing his worth, intercepts an errant Manning pass and returns it for a TD. #Broncos” Best man wins.

side notes:

1. Ronnie Hillman fell asleep at times during meetings in his rookie year (per BK).
2. Montee Ball almost a year older than Hillman.
3. Don't the Broncos have a huge advantage by being able to pick Welker's brain about NE's Offense/Defense?

Peyton Manning's arm looks stronger - throwing with plenty of zip #broncos OTAs day1

@cecillammey That's nice. Can he hit the deep seam this year?

@jcgrayum hit some today in practice, I like the look of this Gase offense

just clearing up for those out there who think Oz is going to be pushed by Dysert....it's not close!

good day for Peyton today, arm looked stronger.

I don't think anybody was thinking he would push him this year. Oz has had a full year of NFL development and even more so a full year behind Manning. It seems to have done wonders for his game on all the things I've read. I'm sure a year in the league and a year learning from PM will also help Dysert. It's a good thing that we have 2 guys back there learning from PM and improving.

Loved hearing that DT and Decker look even more polished. Good god, with those 2 and Welker, holy crap that's going to be a handful for ANY defense. I'm going to take a wild guess that with those 3 guys on the field, the dump route to a RB is going to be WIDE OPEN. Not sorta open.....but WIDE OPEN.

this makes me happy. i am all for more aggressive, fast paced with better play calling. play calling was an issue a lot last year. especially in the Baltimore game.

call a T.O. so your defense can catch it's breath every now and then.

Why did Champ have to put the whammy on DT and Decker?

You remember when he predicted that Lenny Walls was going to take it to the next level that season?

Working against the first-team defense, the 37-year-old Manning
did complete a few passes to new slot receiver Wes Welker but it was easy to tell the quarterback had played a full season in 2012 with outside receivers Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker.

Several of Manning's most impressive throws Monday were caught by Thomas and Decker.

"The growth of Decker and Thomas — these two guys, I've seen them grow so much," said Champ Bailey, the Broncos' starting cornerback for going on 10 seasons. "And you think they can't better — they've gotten better. And it seems like their chemistry with Peyton has gotten better as well."

Well you can reverse that jinx by stating that the Broncos have no WR's that can showcase Patrick Peterson's immense talents....
