Default Von bulked up to 260...

...and plans to get bigger before the season starts.

Quote:
Miller said he ditched his offseason yoga regimen for more bench presses this year, and it shows. He has a noticeably thicker torso and biceps and said he’s packing 260 pounds. That’s five more than when he had his best games last year, and 23 more than his rookie season. He said he wants to put on a couple more pounds before the season starts, too.

‘‘Yeah, that’s always been a goal for me is to be bigger, stronger, faster and at my position,’’ Miller said. ‘‘I’m already undersized as it is, as much as I hate saying that. So as much mass as I can put on but still keep what makes me the player that I am, which is speed and quickness, just so long as I keep that, the more mass that I can put on and keep those guys off me the better.’’

Agree. But based on his quote he seems to be well aware of this.

Von you were great just the way you were. I hope you are right about this. That would be wonderful for you to be even better.

Not sure why a guy playing at his level wants to dick with his approach so much. Especially with the Doom vacuum questions still unanswered.

Pretty simple, really. He feels like he can overpower and/or shed blockers better if he's bigger and stronger. And if he can do that without losing his speed and quickness all the better.

I just think in most cases bulk costs speed. Maybe not much. Maybe not noticeably. Just not sure why you'd want to mess with a good thing. Improvement will come with experience more than anything.

remember when everyone was questioning why Tiger fiddled with his swing? "why mess with a good thing?" "it's won him multiple majors, makes no sense to adjust." because he knows that his current structure is not sustainable for the duration he desires and more important he wants to exceed his own goals and expectations. by changing it up he allows himself more options to attain his goals and allow for continued improvement.

once you're satisfied with being where you're, it means you're not working hard enough.

That's enough out of you, effer.

Besides expecting Teebs to learn behind the starters he's backed up would be kinda like sitting Von behind Idiot Cannonball and expecting him to osmosify something special.

Actually the best humor is when there is truth in it...and there is a lot of truth in this. You outsource your thinking to what is written at IAOFM more than any other poster here.

I'm flattered that you've spent so much time analyzing my posts. On the other hand I don't even know who you are.

There's not much to analyze. If there's something over there, you'll find a thread here to post the link.

Maybe he notices he has heard it before and then put two and two together (or is it 1 and 1 together?).

Anyways, anyone else think he is bulking up so he can hold even more cash while hanging out with the sluts of Vegas? If so, can't wait to see his new sneakers.

Here is that thread:

Nothing wrong with IAOFM. Good source of info. It's just seems that everything that Tony post lately is from the site. Nothing more.

To the extent this is even true (it's not, by the way) who the **** cares? If it's Broncos related, does it matter where it comes from? If it came from the DP or PFT or whatever would it make any difference? If I see something about the Broncos I find interesting, no matter where I see it, I post it for discussion. If people don't like it they should either not read it or put me on ignore (or, heaven forbid, add something to the discussion!) rather than following me around commenting about where I'm getting my info.
