Default DJ Williams released

Too bad we couldn't get a late round pick for him.

Whats his biggest play? Signature play? Thats right i can't really think of one. All he will be known for in Denver are DUI's and drinking. Good riddance I am happy to see him gone.

Wow are people really going to try and say blowing up another underachieving loser in a regular season game is big?

Like I said I am glad to see him go. Woodyard a way better linebacker at this point. DJ Williams is a weakside linebacker that was never good at shedding blocks. Now he's not fast anymore either.

Kinda, yes Mays sucks but it was only a 2 year deal. It's not like it screwed us for years. Had we not signed him last year I don't think anything would have been different. Brooking would still have played MLB

i know, but i just can't let that go. 4 mil wasted on a part time run stuffing MLB. that's quality starting DT money!

I'm down for letting Doom walk if he won't take a reasonable deal. We need players who want to do whatever it takes to win. Not players who will fight over every million dollars. I understand why players do it, and that is the smart move. If I was an agent I would say you always take the most garaunteed money regardless of team. But we need to find some of those stupid ones who really care mostly about winning.

We have a couple DE's in the market place that in a part time pass rushing role probably can get 7-10 sacks.

Who's in the marketplace that can get 7-10 sacks, or basically one less that Doom got last year as a full-time player, in a part time role? And why wouldn't they get pegged as full time starters with that type of production? Not to mention, you would have a group of teams looking to sign them.

This myth that we can easily replace Doom's production is completely absurd. There is a reason why pass rushing DE's get paid the big bucks, and it's not because they are easily replaceable

the myth that we can't replace him is just as absurd. I agree it'll be hard to do with a guy who only comes in on passing downs....but Doom isn't the end all be all when it comes to rushing the passer

John Abraham had 10 sacks at 35 years old....Cliff Avril had 9.5....Paul Kruger had 9 in 6 starts this past season....all are free agents, and Avril is only 26 years old and has 39.5 sacks in 60 starts.

I like Doom and hope we can can keep him, but I'm not worried about replacing his production......whoever we get should do fine opposite Miller.
