Ok I love to gamble and go to Vegas probably every other month or so. Here is my opinion of some of the places I stay.
Aria I just stayed there last weekend. Rooms are nice and all the automation on the lights and blinds is cool but can be a struggle to work in a drunken haze when taking a leak at 6 am. Casino is a little dark and sleepy but is nice overall. I would say the pool is very sleepy but to the defense of it it's only the start of pool season. I would stay there again except the only thing for me is I would bring my own pillow because they have the overstuffed pillows that tear my neck up. Seafood buffet was great although I only ate crab, shrimp and steak. I never touch any cheap fillers like bread or pizza that they hope you eat. Cosmopolitan My favorite casino to party and listen to the casino bands. Very cool place and I love the theme. The bands they get are very good. The biggest reason I don't stay here is if I blow 3-500 a night on a room that just cuts into my gambling stash. My GF and I have gambled a lot here lately and their comp program isn't that good and we are gambling 50 plus a spin on roulette or I do that on craps. Pools here are my favorite and a toss up with the Encore pools. Rio/Bally's/Flamingo/Planet Hollywood/MGM/Paris These are kind of my go to places because location(except Rio) is top notch and I get comp rooms/food. I just pick the cheapest one usually and play at all of them with my Mlife or TR cards. I usually end up at Cosmo to fire craps and I used to go to Wild Bills for some cheap drinks/Gambling and bad house band. RIP Bills/Barbary coast and even OShea's. In the summer I would only stay at MGM out of the above due to the better pools. In the summer I base stays off of the pool scene. Hard Rock Great place with cheap everything for Vegas. The casino is a little sleepy if it isn't the weekend but the center bar is nice. Food is good and reasonable and low table mins if that is what you are looking for. The pool is nice in the summer with the sand on the bottom and the music at the Hard Rock is great. Where do you guys stay at? Last edited by DENVERDUI55; 03-06-2013 at 01:28 PM.. |

Typically stay at the Hard Rock and the location is great as I am over the strip and really love the pool.
Want to stay at the cosmo though and try it out. |

Since 2004, I'm no longer legally permitted on the premise of Bally's, Ceasar's Palace, Paris, and I think 2 more?

I'm going 3/15. Will be fun. Lost my ass in January. Going to double all my bets and win it back! Flawless logic!

Last three trips have been to the Palazzo. Find a good deal for the "Prestige Level" which gets you a private concierge level with free breakfast, free evening drinks, and free light dinner. You can ask them for lots of other perks if you are into gambling (which I don't do).
The savings on breakfast, drinks, and dinner easily saves me $75 a day for me, and $75 for my wife. Worth every penny and really awesome rooms with huge sitting area, beautiful bathrooms, remote control curtains, nice views, etc... To each his own, but if you stay there, its hard to go somewhere else. |

lol Rev.
my wife and I are going there for a couple days later this month for a food show that I have and a mini vacation. We're staying at the flamingo, should be fun, thanks for posting your recommendations DUI55. Any other suggestions OMers? Were not big gamblers though.. |

Make reservations at Lagasse's Stadium for any sporting event. Best place to watch a game.
March Madness is a blast there. |

Mandalay bay and Monte Carlo.. Mandalay is a bit further down but Monte Carlo is close enough.
