Default Beadles and Thomas to Pro Bowl

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...s-in-pro-bowl/

"Guard Logan Mankins and receiver Wes Welker won’t be going to the Pro Bowl, because they are injured. They’ll be replaced by Broncos guard Zane Beadles and Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas."

Excellent news. Didn't realise Beadles was an alternate.

I had a feeling we would get at least one more guy in after the injuries and the other two teams went to the SB. Happy about both.

So much for Manning, Elway, and Fox working Welker.

Because, they just realized DT is good?

What an odd post.

If you had told me a year or two ago that Beadles would make a probowl this year, alternate or not, I would've asked that you check yourself into rehab or an institution.

I have been critical of Beadles, but I actually disagree with this. Beadles wasn't a generally lame player. He was just inconsistent. He would be very good for stretches and then have plays where'd he'd just whiff or get blown up. His issue wasn't one of talent or ability, just consistency and mental focus. He's clearly ironed a lot of that out. Granted, some of that is Manning always having them in the right protection, but still his down field blocking and decrease in bad plays has been exceptional.

well that and the fact that the Broncos oline have been together for a little while now. This familiarity with each other and having Manning really helps.

Whoa Beadles in the Pro Bowl in his 3rd year...never would have thunk it.

That makes 3 of the 5 Broncos starting OL...

So happy DT got into the Pro Bowl. That's gotta give him some confidence going into next year. He gave my kid a high-five and signed his hat at training camp. Super-classy dude...

Believe me I know. It was at times. But he would be good a few plays and then horrid. It wasn't like George Foster bad, where every play he sucked.

Who would have thought that Beadles would make the Pro Bowl before Kuper?

Beadles and Walton were neck and neck for worst OL in the NFL at one point in their careers(yes i know this is an exaggeration, but still, they were horrible) now they have each transformed into a pretty solid nucleus of OL talent.
still want a mauling C in the draft though. we need someone to plow through the opposing DL and open big holes. Beadles is a pro bowler, Kupes when healthy is a beast and the main weakness is C. Koppen is a nice rental but we need a 6+ year solution.

Happy for both, they played very good seasons. Can't believe Beadles is the first Bronco OG to ever make it.

Mark Schlereth and Keith Bishop were previously selected as guards.

Patriots lose the AFC Championship, and they're suddenly too hurt to play in the Pro Bowl.

I truly hate that organization.
