Default Time for Brady to Hang Up the Cleats

And fire Bill Belichick while you're at it.

No one can throw a ball to the LOS like Brady can. I said years ago the dude will never win another SB, he came close twice and wins alot of games but it might serve him and belly to move on to something new.

I get tired watching their dink and dunk quick break game. When they get behind it is hard to dink and dunk it and come back.

I am glad we have 2 physical teams in the SB. I hope we get more physical on D and in the run game.

One thing for sure, Joe Flacco is a much tougher qb than Brady is. Flacco will stand tough in the pocket just as well as most other qb's. He has as strong an arm as any qb in the league, and his accuracy is very good. Always been underrated. Most people scoff at the notion of him being an elite NFL qb. He don't have the hardware that the real elite NFL qb's have. But he is probably the best qb in the NFL without a Super Bowl ring, but that is likely to change in two weeks.

you would not have said all these things had refs called the game fairly.

Or if the Broncos didn't have a dip**** for a coach.

But seriously, the reason why I like Flacco is because I remember him boldly announcing that he is an elite qb (this before last year's AFC Title game when the Ravens were a Lee Evans drop from last year's Super Bowl). I think thought that he was full of himself, and laughed. But then I watched last year's AFC title game and realized that Flacco was pretty damn good as he outplayed Tom Brady, only to have his team to just come up short. Flacco just got his second chance against Tom Brady today, and this time, Flacco outplayed Brady even moreso than he did in last year's AFC title game.

So I guess you hate Manning also for his dink and dunk offense.

We don't throw near as many screens or plays to the LOS as NE.

Their O is built around the passing game as a long handoff looking for the 4-8 yard gains hoping to bring the D in so they can attack deeper.

We are the other way around, pushing down field in the 8-20 yard or more range using the run game to keep D's honest.

Both Decker and DT have had big time downfield chunks and long TD's. Had Decker not fallen down and DT not dropped the ball we should have had 2 more long TD's.

All teams utilize the short pass but NE is built around quick fast break plays trying to get a guy in space gaining YAC off making guys miss. Look at all the crossing routes NE ran last night.

Manning went to check down routes a lot vs Ravens but those were not designed as 1st options. We were a much more dink and dunk team when mCd was here as he brought the Belly system with him.

Wonder if they have fans saying he's over the hill like I've seen from some on here over Manning.

I think Wes Welker might be done in New England.

Anybody else notice that the dropped pass of his was eerily similar to his drop last year in the SB?

Not sure if this is the beginning of the end or not. If Gronk weren't out it'd be easier to write them off.

I agree, I was thinking the same thing, he dropped at least 2 passes for 1st down and got caught from behind after beating his man in the open field, Graham closed fast after getting beat and made the tackle.

Welker is a guy who can rack up the YAC if he gets the ball near or at the LOS but he doesn't seem to be as effective down field. I know him and Belly went at it early this year. I doubt after this he sticks around.

Anyone notice Lloyd wasn't impressive either? No CiDtL today.

Pats need to get big fast young WR's like the rest of the league.

Plus Belly has drafted D the last 2 years and he is not hitting as frequently on talent like he used to. They have no pass rush and they are weak in the middle field like we are. They also got burned in the seams also.

I will enjoy watching them crumble.

To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes..... one of my favorites.

King Soloman would go on to say "everything for which we toil under the sun is meaningless, like chasing after the wind."

The most beautiful of the Hebrew scriptures, IMO.

I'd love it if Welker became a Bronco...but he is going to want a nice chunk of money, which might cut into the team's ability to resign Decker and Thomas later.

We can keep Stokely for less if he wants to keep playing and he knows Manning.

I would pass on Wes, someone like kFc sure could use him though.

If Manning has a thing for white slot receivers (and who doesnt?) Amendola might be a better long term fit than Welker or Stokely.

I don't see Amendola hitting the open market. If he does he will command a large contract. The dude is a stud. I could see the Pat's make a move for him. I just don't think we could afford him.

True. But if he does become a FA I hope we go after him. Our window for a title is the next two years. If the team wants to win now (and clearly signing Manning last offseason is an indicator for that) then the consideration of the team's cap past the next two years might not factor in to the thought process.

*Solomon

This is an Opera piece by Johannes Brahms that was written to follow the flow of Ecclesiastes: pretty powerful once you've read Ecclesiastes, and know the German translation.

Sorry.... back to football, lol

Ever since the filming bust, they've done nothing but choke in the Super Bowl.
