No Tom Moore?
No matter the OC, I think it's clear who the real shotcaller is in this offense. |

I like this hire, if it happens. Still kind of think he'll get a head job, though.
Having former head coaches as your top coordinators is a pretty damn good thing to have on your football team.

I'm sure it will come back around...but it takes a while for eras to come and go like that. I will have to admit, that for the next couple years at least, we should maximize our strength, which would be our giant receivers and Manning (and our Giant QB after Manning).

If we'd had McGahee and Moreno healthy for that game Saturday, NE would be on their way here.

These days for running inside the tackles... Ronnie stated to get in the groove as the 4th quarter progressed but we easily missed out on one if not two scores and longer drives in which we didn't score with Moreno and Hillman mixing it up with Moreno in there on passing third downs. |

The Pats have been running pretty effectively in these playoffs. Don't want the 49ers enough to comment but I'd bet they do too.

Interesting choice. It will be adjust to the offense but maybe that what we need now.

The thing is: Fox has already said that 10 times out of 10 he'd run on 3rd and 7 in the playoffs, so I don't see how this hiring helps us.
Fox needs to go before this team can grow a pair. |

One reason I'd love this hire is that Wiz seemed at his best with a veteran QB, and at his worst with a young one. So, if we're more worried about getting a ring with Manning than we are about developing Brock, this is great.
One reason I wouldn't like this hire is that even with Fox's hands-off approach to managing his staff, we'd still have two ex head coaches at the coordinator positions. |

May be experienced OC coach will convince Fox that we should not play conservative.

John Fox offenses have historically run more than other teams. He usually finishes 50/50 in his ratio.

It already IS coming back in the form of the read option. Guys like Wilson, Kap, Newton, et al are not pocket passers, but hybrids that put up gaudy rush yards.
