It sucks. It doesn't give any props to Thomas at all. Black and Decker sound to me more like "some black guy and ERIC DECKER !!!!! Yay....ERIC DECKER". How many people would love it if it where "white and Thomas". I think it's pretty stupid myself that every friggin thing these days has to have a nickname. What is so damn wrong with Thomas and Decker, it's only their names I know, lord almighty, lol.

Just 'DT' works double in this case, either referring just to Demaryius or for the duo 'Decker-Thomas' .. of course, that distinction will go over most people's heads and Decker will be the forgotten man in that nickname.

I second hambone's critique. The racial undertones run a very distant second to the fact that B&D make ****ty tools.

It does however make sense that the white guy's name is retained in that sense though, since only white trash trailer park meth heads would use B&Ds nowadays. I bet Wolfe gave 'em the name and talked about how bad ass his corded 12v B&D drill is and how it even has a cool snap in slot for the chuck key.
