Alright
Record is 22.5 held by Michael Strahan Miller currently at 13 with 6 regular season games to go. Target 23. That works out to 1.66666666666 sacks per game. Upcoming opponents: 11/25 Broncos vs Chiefs 12/02 Buccaneers vs Broncos 12/06 Broncos vs Raiders 12/16 Broncos vs Ravens 12/23 Browns vs Broncos 12/30 Chiefs vs Broncos OL Stats from footballoutsiders: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol Team Rank Sacks Adjusted Sack Rate KC 23 19 7.3% OAK 13 17 5.3% TB 12 12 5.1% BAL 15 19 6.2% CLE 6 14 4.5% Reference of previous opponents SD 25 22 7.7% CAR 24 24 7.7% HOU 4 11 4.1% NE 2 15 3.9% NO 9 16 4.8% ATL 14 19 6.0% PIT 16 19 6.3% CIN 22 22 7.2% For good measure, Broncos #1 baby DEN 1 11 3.6% This is the most amount of work I have ever put into a post. Enjoy. |

It's doable. Will Stanzi lay down for him Favre style to get the record?

Chiefs might have 3 of their starting OL out this game so it is definitely possible.

I was at that game. 50 yard line seats. DT had a few missed sacks in that game (including the last play when they won). I've never seen any pass rusher take over a game like DT did. Seattle was triple teaming him and he still got through. DT was extremely close to having 10 sacks that game. What's even more incredible about it is that he did it in a more conservative league. The NFL has gone extremely pass heavy now giving pass rushers more opportunities to sack the QB. |

But on the topic of Von getting the record for the season total, as much as I want him to do it I am more interested in playoffs and what he does this week |

And you put all that effort into it. Can't imagine what it would look like if you half assed it

He's basically on pace for 21 sacks, and it seems like he's getting better week by week. One more monster game could put him on pace to break it.

the problem is the Chiefs and the Browns aren't going to throw the ball all that much.

I remember this talk when Dumervil was a sack machine and even last year there was talk about Miller maybe getting there then he busted his thumb. I don't want to jinx it this year.
