Actually it was 7.

I was at that game. 50 yard line seats. DT had a few missed sacks in that game (including the last play when they won). I've never seen any pass rusher take over a game like DT did. Seattle was triple teaming him and he still got through. DT was extremely close to having 10 sacks that game.

What's even more incredible about it is that he did it in a more conservative league. The NFL has gone extremely pass heavy now giving pass rushers more opportunities to sack the QB.

I thought DT record was 7 in a game.

But on the topic of Von getting the record for the season total, as much as I want him to do it I am more interested in playoffs and what he does this week

He's basically on pace for 21 sacks, and it seems like he's getting better week by week. One more monster game could put him on pace to break it.
