Default like you're getting paid to party - attention whore Von Miller

http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...ewton/1692961/

5:19PM EST November 8. 2012 - ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Every time Von Miller performs the sack dance he dreamt up this offseason, he donates $1,000 to his charity that provides glasses, contacts and eye exams for needy children.

So let this serve as Miller's advance apology to those kids.

If Miller, the Broncos' bespectacled outside linebacker, sacks Carolina quarterback Cam Newton on Sunday, he'll forgo the dance he calls the DeSoto Shuffle in favor of something else far more recognizable: The Superman Newton's signature touchdown celebration.

Miller, tied for second in the NFL with nine sacks, is already envisioning himself pretending to rip off his white Denver jersey, just like Newton does.

"That would be great," Miller told USA TODAY Sports Thursday afternoon. "I hope I get a chance to do it."

If Miller does steal Newton's Superman, he doesn't mean it as a sign of disrespect. Miller said he's a huge fan of Newton, dating back to before the players were drafted No. 1 (Newton) and No. 2 (Miller) in the 2011 draft.

Sunday marks the first time they will face each other in a game other than the 2011 Pro Bowl. And clearly, no one was rushing the passer in that game.

"This is the best sport in the world, so to get to go out there and show excitement in front of millions of people, that's like you're getting paid to party," Miller said.

There's an old sayin, don't count your chickens before they hatch. Concentrate on getting the sack instead of how you'll react to it.

better to have a plan of attack than to just wing it.
hope we see the super man, the desoto shuffle, the mile high salute and the tebow.
yes, that would mean 4 sacks

Not going there but I would rather let celebrations stick with the original player. I hate when opposing teams do the Mile High Salute. I can't be a hypocrite. Von, do anything but that. Maybe another. Superhero or Superman villian. That would be better.

What ever happened to a good 'ol fashioned "tea bag?" Nothing marks your territory like a sack in the face....

Perhaps this is savvy pre-game strategy. Get the opposition to key in on stopping Von and run defenses designed to unleash Doom.

I for one am appalled at the notion you would celebrate the horrific act of tackling another man and then parading around dancing about it like you're Gene Kelly!

After years and years and years of watching passionless limp dic*ed defenses, I love it. Play with passion and swagger. It's a ****ing game. . .a brutal game, but a ****ing game. Von Miller will be a ring of famer if he stays in Denver and if he wants to name sack dances, have fun, and donate money to worthy charities along the way, God Bless. Don't like it as a player? Do your job and shut him down.

Von need to step up his game on those sack dances. Next time he should do something like this and put on a real show, lights, music, and all.
