This is a embarrassing game. The Broncos had a total whispering campaign last year that the new England game was Tebow's fault. Now we have the top of the line quarterback, Best in the NFL receivers (or so we are told), and we still sit through this debacle. Led, I would note, by a man who couldn't do anything right in Denver.
McDaniels never fixed Shanahan's mess. He was too concerned about QBs. Fox hasn't fixed McDaniels mess. He was too concerned about QBs. Elway hasn't fixed this this cluster-**** that we call a secondary. Denver Broncos. Making Josh McDaniels look good. Edited to note: Of course McDipshiit was a problem. You're right. We'd be much better if we'd kept McDaniels as our coach.

McDaniels sucked as a head coach. Fox isn't really much better.
And no, Tebow was not a problem. He was a young QB trying to figure out how to play in his second scheme (under McCoy mind you) in two years without a proper offseason. Manning >>> Tebow as a passer, that's obvious, but our team's issues are about far more than who is playing quarterback. |

We have issues at LB for sure. I wonder if DJ coming back will help it any - Williams at least is better in coverage and at tackling than Mays. But the D held up and played well against Oakland, Pitt, and Atlanta.
New England put up 30 on Baltimore. The Ravens were way better against the run, but I think the Broncos did a little more than the Ravens in the pass game. Continuity is key in the league - the biggest problem is not talent - but rather scheme and consistency in coaching. Think about the good defenses in the league - most of them have had consistent coaching and schemes. I believe all of our own jobs would be more difficult if we had a new boss every year that wanted our jobs completed in a completely different way with new terminology. Given our schedule - I think the Broncos have been decent. Of course I think they could play better but at least we're competitive against the best teams in the league and only a couple plays from winning some of those games. Two years ago McD - it would be a prayer if we could keep up with the top teams - at least now we think we can win. I want better results just like any fan - but this season has been fun even with the losses - I like seeing that we're competitive once again. |

Why would tebow do anything in this game? We aren't forcing punts.

New England's arrogance was keeping us in it, but yet another problem that the FO supposedly fixed, killed it again.

You are missing my point. Is manning a upgrade. Yes. Did it fix what was wrong with this team? Nope. The guy they threw under the bus didn't have much to do with it either.

I dont understand why people think we "threw tebow under the bus" or why youd still want him.
He wasn't good last year and progressively got worse as the season went on. The only reason he had success against Pitt is because they stupidly played a lot of cover zero against him. We have Peyton, and he's real ****ing good, and we didnt sacrifice anyone to get him. Hopefully Peyton sticks around here another few years and we can build on this. But im not punting this year yet. HOU, ATL, and NE ...two of those games away, and we were in all of them. Lets see how **** plays out. Call me an optimist. |

I know one thing, getting in these big deficits every week is a killer...you can't expect to make "comebacks" every week. The Pats aren't an overwhelming team, they just formation you to pieces. You get behind, you press...more to the point spend so much energy catching up the team is spent in the 4th quarter.
Time of possession!!! Gotta have more. |
