The incidence is normally so intrusive and disruptive to the child's psychological development that it leads the child into sins of his/her own. It's a viscious and terrible cycle that sometimes results in the repetition of the offense by the molested child onto his or her victim in their own adulthood as they struggle with the incident.
Children that are molested also have a higher occurrence of depression, drug addiction, sexual promiscuity, and other sins. The original offender instilled that seed into their young mind and thus led them into sins of their own persay.
victims of pedophiles grow up to become victimizers themselves.... largely as the result of the emotional scars inflicted by the adult abusers. Those scars will last a lifetime regardless of whether or not the victims repeat the destructive behavior themselves. The level of permanent damage inflicted on the victims is why we as a society need to reinforce the message that pedophilia is not
OK... as common as it seems to be in today's society, it would appear that perhaps the message isn't getting through as clearly as it should.
