As I mentioned great article but I believe the Broncomania roots run much deeper. I wasn't born until 74 but I did watch the OrangeMonday game of 1973 recently. Broncos vs Raiders home game.
We hadn't beaten those punks but 4 or 5 times until that day. B-love correct me if I'm wrong. You are the historian around here.
Seems to me this city was already raging with Broncomania back then and 77 just put things over the top.
