HA! I don't do that - if i read some old and ancient texts - and it corroborates point A - then point A is correct - but to accept something on blind faith is just plain irresponsible. Not to mention since i'm not a christian - i don't have to read the bible and take it literally - You want validation that your religion is right, and that's fine. It's human to be insecure in your own beliefs. But attatchment leads to suffering thus spoke buddah.
