The part I really don't like about the trade... T.O. for Moss. It was necessary though. In fact, I'm pretty sure I put in there when I offered the trade that he could make out if Moss is seriously hurt... or I could make out if he comes back healthy.
There was a little strategy behind this trade for me. I'm sitting at 3-3 right now and am tied with 3 others for the division lead. Over the next two weeks the worst I can do is fall two games back. I'll then have 5 weeks to come back and 3 of those weeks have me matched up against division opponents.
That's why I traded for Julius Jones as well. I can't plan on big #'s from Larry Johnson... not that I can plan on big #'s from Shipp, but atleast he's starting to get some touches! Honestly, that's the trade I gave up too much in. Giving up McGahee was tough... but at 3-3 I wasn't going to make much noise anyhow. Had to shake it up a bit!!!
My personal feeling on the trade with Slap. Even. Kevin Jones is injured and under performing. Tony Gonzalez needed a change of teams to produce. T.O. is T.O. He's a pretty consistent 15 points per week and will score the occasional 20-30.
Warrick Dunn has been great. He's healthy and the work horse in Atlanta with Duckett having a high ankle sprain.
L.J. Smith has been a little inconsistent. Still he's a top 5 fantasy TE. Hopefully a change of scenery to my team doesn't slow him down!
Moss is hurt. I knew that going in. I rolled the dice that he would come back and not have a torn groin. I agree that nobody really knows how bad he's injured, but all I need from him is 10 pts per week. Anything over that is a bonus. Wow, what a season already!!!
