Anyone have stats of the success of high schoolers who made the jump to the NBA? I haven't heard of many failures. I think that these kids are evaluated to make sure they can handle the rigors of the NBA before they're even considered.
The problem is that a lot of these kids don't have the skills to play in the NBA. After 10 years of kids skipping college, or leaving after a year, the talent level in the league has dropped. Too many NBA players don't have the skills anymore. Now, any top high school player can make the jump, because the talent level is so low. A long time ago high school players couldn't make the jump because the talent level was too high.
