This pick would signify that we would be seriously trying to get into a 3-4. Not much lateral movement, but may be the best 2 gap NT in the draft. Great pick if we run the 3-4 awful if we drop that nonsense.
Now is about the worse time to implement a 3-4. It was a great D to run a few years back because the majority of teams were running a 4-3 and "tweeners" were dropping and were late round gems. With everyone now copying the Pats, these guys are at a premium. I think Wabbit was talking about a conversation with Coyer and when asked about the 3-4 he said if you run the 3-4 then run the 3-4. I could not agree more. Do not like this switch up crap, as it is hard enough to find quality starters. Now we need to find an extra 4 quality starters for the 3-4?
