i like that. It will eliminate those stupid PI penalties where the DB and the WR bump on a 50 yd bomb and then the DB is flagged for a 50 yard penalty. Now it'll be a 15 yarder. It won't kill a team for accidental interference. But, then we'll have to deal with two kinds of refs: the refs who call intentional all the time and the refs who call accidental. The problem with this is that i don't like putting it into the referees' hands. As much as i hate getting called for accidental interference, i think that it might be a bad thing to make it a judgement call. And i think that illegal contact shouldn't be a first down. because it is one of those plays that gets called way too much. receivers and DBs are going to bump. Football is about contact, so a bump should not cost a team a first down. It sux when we have the other team on a third and 13, and because of a little bump, they get a first down. That's wack. It should be like an offside. I nkow the NFL doesn't want the DBs to bump the WRs, but come on. It's a huge, momentum changing play that could change the game b/c of a BUMP

that's not fair to the players. I like the proposed changes, but i'm still not sold on the PI rules.
