UHL throws the book at Edmonton tough guy
Flint Generals enforcer Ashlee Langdone was suspended for 20 games by the United Hockey League on Thursday after being assessed three game misconducts in a fight-filled 7-2 loss to the Quad City Mallards last Friday.
Langdone, a 23-year-old winger from Edmonton, lost it after the second of two altercations before the second-period faceoff.

Fan charged after player sucker-punched in UHL game
A Quad City Mallards hockey fan has been charged with aggravated battery after the United Hockey League's leading goalscorer was sucker-punched as players left the ice following the second period of a game last Friday.
Police in Moline, Ill., have charged Chad D. Oberbroeckling, 45, of Dubuque, Iowa, with a felony that carries a sentence of two to five years in prison, probation and a possible $25,000 US fine.

Goalie suspended 15 games, then waived
LAKE ST. LOUIS, Mo. (CP) -- A Canadian goalie who threw a tantrum after giving up the deciding goal with 16 seconds remaining in a United Hockey League game has been suspended seven games for his antics.
Jeremy Symington of Camlachie, Ont., was in goal for the Elmira (N.Y.) Jackals when Glenn Stewart scored the winner for the New Haven Knights in a UHL game Dec. 21. The Knights were on a a five-on-three power play at the time.
