Somebody's going to take a chance on him by Round 6. Count on it. Really, that would be the best place for him because it's a low-risk situation. If he really can't contribute or acts like a churlish little cancer, his ass is immediately cut. But if you can put him on a practice squad and give your coaches a year to get him up to pro speed, he could be a late-round steal.
All you are risking is a sixth-rounder so if he fails, you haven't really risked anything either moneywise, teamwise or capwise. Trust me, somebody's going to take him just because he can look like a genius if it works and nobody will really care if it doesn't.
