Does Casper Community College have classes for GED type stuff? I recall from my teacher days - many, many light years ago in a galaxy far, far away - that some of my HS kids needed to get away from the social predatory aspect of the school, and found a niche in a community college preparing them for university.
ps, on that thread, here's something you may get a kick out of Spider. When I worked in Evanston Wyo, one of my co-workers had a little girl in elementary school, and some of the mormon folk wouldn't let their kids play with her cause she was not mormon. Now, here in Miss, a little girl moves in on the block, and her dad's doing a medical residency, so they got like zero money, and teh public schools suck ass in the city of Jackson, but the family doesn't move to one of the 'burbs where schools are much better, because there are a bunch of baptists who think they're in a "cult." So the little girl's getting home schooled, and even that's tough cause while the home shcool parents band together to do field trips and stuff, most of them are the nutter types who don't like mormons. It's almost (-: enough to piss me off.
