however, the issue I argued was basketball not being exiting. I think it still is when you have a close game regardless of the quality of fundemantal play on the court.
I too am burned out by the lack of fundamentals, blame Jordan for the dumbing down of the NBA at least you are on the same track as me when it comes to Bird and Magic.
Everything changed once Jordan became "the man."
I agree with the point that the NBA changed for the worse once Larry and Magic left.
However, I don't think you can blame that on Jordan. If he'd had a worthy adversary like Bird/Magic then the height of the 80's could've been continued IMO.
