To me, it's not the drinking. Most know that I've been sober for over a month now, and while I've done some stupid thing while under the influence, I realized that there's things that I and other people do sober that mroe or less just blame it on alcohol if they do it while drinking.

This is a sad story, and honestly, winning a pennant or winning a championship has turned from town celebrations to an excuse to go out and act in violent ways. I'm not sure what kind of celebration people have gone to, but I've never celebrated by flipping up over cars, lighting couches and other furnature on fire, tossing trash out of a 3rd story windown and onto a street etc.

This is what I mean by it's not the alcohol, and believe me, with my current stance on alcohol now, if I could blame it on that drink then I would. People get caught up in the moment and do stupid stuff, sober or drunk.
Exactly....Banning alcohol amounts to nothing more than a useless, knee jerk exercise by the Mayor IMO and I'll be very surprised if it does anything at all to curb the riotous activity in the event of a Sox victory.
