Fox, on Champ.
Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey had played half the defensive snaps until the final drive Sunday, when he watched all 11 Kansas City plays from the sideline.
Bailey wound up playing 30 of 72 defensive snaps, or 42 percent. Not bad for a return to work, although Bailey as a 12-time Pro Bowler has set a higher standard. Bailey missed the first five games with a left foot injury, returned to play against Jacksonville and Indianapolis, then aggravated his injury and missed the next four games before returning against the Chiefs.
"I think anytime a player misses playing time, a considerable amount of playing time, regardless of who you are, it takes a minute to get back and to play against the best football players on the planet," Fox said.
