That's the crux of it. Williams has looked better in recent weeks, but now he will work into the regular rotation and we really, really, really need him to perform well.
Isn't defensive tackle one of those positions with a steep learning curve?
Another challenge for rookies is that they're only one year removed from college football and this is the time of year the college schedule winds down and takes a break before the bowl season. From what I've read in the past, rookies seem to have a body clock that winds down about this time as well.
I hope that's not the case with Williams, and I thinks it's a positive that he's been used sparingly this season because he has fresh legs. Whether or not that translates to performance is anyone's guess.
