That's a very good point. Need to put some hard plastic panels on each of those pads.
Reminds me of the rubber playground surfaces you see everywhere now. They give enough to help head injuries, but since they can't disperse the impact, they cause more broken bones with the added bounce back.
Maybe they should be making helmets out of giant garbage bags filled with rubber bits. Like a bean bag chair.
