Interestingly I rewatched the game in depth. I saw a lot of Cover 2 from our Safeties. I also didn't see Duke do anything wrong..
Moore on the other hand, that's a different story.
I really think the premis of our basic looks was for the film on how players would respond. A learning experience.
I hate Bradley, but everyone is jumping him from the play where he left the TE open, yet he attacked the developing screen. I'd prefer a TE make a catch underneath a Cover 2 look than a RB get a convoy on a screen.
Either way that play is damn if you do damn if you don't. It also looked to me like Hillman was intentionally run into less than favorable situations to see what he too was capable of. It was important to have trial and error to correct now, rather than go after the preseason title.
