My coach, Mr. Spiller, was also the Math/Algebra teacher. Some days he would play guitar (Aqua Lung or House of the Rising Sun), or tell original stories. One story he called "The Contessa", where he told the story of a Contessa who chained people up and tortured them in her dungeon. He would turn the lights off, and take a few class periods telling in graphic detail his concocted fable. Super-cool to junior high kids like us.
