Have less sympathy (so far) for Manning than Snowden. Manning leaked pretty indiscriminately. There's no room for outing intelligence sources by name in a whistleblowing capacity.
What both incidents should teach us though is how laughable the concept of information security is in our government. Basically if the Feds track it, it belongs to the world. All the more reason to shut it down.
