Yeah. Lyons is a total stopgap. They really don't want to keep last year's number 1 pick, Michael Wacha, up. He'd be better right now, but he's only 21, they don't want to start the clock, etc. I think they believe they can survive the occasional bad start. The problem is, innings are piling up on Wainwright, Lynn, and Miller. Lynn and Miller probably aren't quite ready for 200 inning loads. Westbrook was poor in his 1st start off the DL, and Jaime Garcia is a ways off from coming back. They will probably be looking for a vet at the deadline.
This is what has happened. The wheels are off on Miller and Lynn, and Westbrook continues to suck. Cards have hit the skids, and when they finish losing to the Angels tonight, will only be 16 games over .500.
