The lineup is loaded. They're going to score lots and lots of runs. The bullpen is solid. When they get the lead, they're generally going to keep it. That right there is a recipe for winning a lot of games.
Right now, they have three passable starters, in Chacin, Garland, and De La Rosa. Nicasio needs to go back to AAA, and work on developing a third pitch. Francis will be okay as a fifth starter, if no one else steps up. If you get quality starts, at some point, from any of Pomeranz, Friedrich, or Chatwood, the team could stick around.
I said, before the season, that they would win 85 games. I'll stick with that. That would make at least part of September interesting.
