Brock Osweiler may very well be a great QB when he takes over for Peyton Manning, but I'd love to have 2 young QBs to develop and it would be great for Brock Osweiler to know that the starting job just isn't going to be handed to him in a few seasons.
I'm not opposed to a QB here, but I would rather they go in one of these two directions:
Pick up the ultimate boom or bust type guy, at any skill position. The kind of guy that has tremendous talent, but has either medical, character, and/or attitude concerns. That way if it works out, they are geniuses, if not, they simply cut him.
OR, trade the pick for next year's 6th. That would be a good trade since we are picking late in the 7th anyway. We can pick up a safety and QB in UDFA.
