Interesting game between the Tigers and Mariners last night.
The Tigers won 2-1 in 14 innings.
There were a total of 40 strikeouts in the game.
Max Scherzer and Felix Hernandez both pitched gems, but obviously got no decisions.
I was up until after 2:30 am and thought it was over when Detroit scored in the top of the 14th.
Seattle almost tied it back up in the bottom of the 14th, but Torii Hunter made a nice throw from RF to Prince Fielder, who fired a bullet to backup catcher Brayan Pena, who held on to the ball, despite a big collision at the plate with Justin Smoak for the final out of the game.
