So practical, though. I probably would have been better of with a math major (rather than an econ major) for a masters in econ. A math major would have better prepared me for an MA in Economics than a BA in economics, and I'm not kidding.
I know some friend who are following precisely that path. They want to study econ, so they're math majors in undergrad, with the intention to go on to grad for economics.
One of my brothers earned a B.S. in Math with an Econ minor. He has three masters' degrees now and is working on a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering ... he's crazy.
