I can't speak for Freeney, I'm not going to pretend I've watched a bunch of Colts games, and the ones I have I wasn't paying attention to him, but I will trust Del Rio/Fox on this one. Also, Freeney will not be asked to start, nor will he command many double teams, so as a pass rushing specialist, I think he'll do fine.
Regardless, this isnt the difference between the broncos winning and losing the super bowl.
Plus, as you said, we'll see who else we signed with the freed up money.
I did watch a few Colts games and Freeney is done, now he is a small, slow and not very strong player.
The problem is if Freeney doesn't start then who does? we have no player on the roster who has proven to be a starter at that position.
The big problem with Freeney is that in the time it has taken me to earn a doctorate he has had 11 or more sacks exactly once, he has had less than 10 sacks 3 times (4 if you count the year he was injured, in that year he was not on pace to hit 10 sacks or anything near it).
