But I digress. This is nonsense. I understand that, because most kids in this culture are not exposed to Islam as they are to Christianity, that a bit more "immersion" may be required to get the point of a lesson across but then there is a line that gets crossed that cannot be justified.
Requiring students to bend a knee, kiss a rug, say a prayer and write only a "positive" essay crosses that line by a mile.
I'm the first to say, "Get your gods out of our schools" and I agree that this judge needs to be removed. Nonsense. Unjustifiable nonsense.
While I agree that there should be no religion in the schools, I'm still scratching my head at what the point of this was? If anything, this should be regulated to a World History class and taught the history of religions and cultures. Not how to pray. Kids are scoring all time lows on standardized testing and we take the time from Math or Science to teach a kid how to pray? Boy this country is falling deeper and deeper into a hole.
