Not so much that he couldn't run (everybody knew the kid was hobbled). But when his knee structure was so questionable that he couldn't even really step into a throw, there really should have been a decision to sit the kid down.
Hey, I don't disagree with you. I agree with all of that, but I also believe that Robert earned the right to make that decision himself as both a great player and captain of that team.
