The NFL is a QB driven league....if Carson were anything above average these days, Oakland would be better than 4-11.
Everyone said Indianapolis had no talent last season when they were 2-14.
The season before they were 10-6 with Peyton Manning slinging the rock and this season they are 10-5 with Andrew Luck.
Carson Palmer has over 4,000 yards passing this season, but he's been a stat accumulator in Oakland....a lot of yardage in the 4th quarters of blowout losses.
Palmer has turned the ball over 19 times (14 INTs and 5 lost fumbles) this season.
He's due a base salary of $13 million next season.
Since he's been in Oakland he has 35 TD passes and 30 INTs with 6 lost fumbles....more turnovers than TDs is never a good thing.
I will admit that Oakland is thin talent wise, but a good to great QB raises the level of play of those around him.
