Records/Milestones (Updated):

Passing attempts: Drew Bledsoe owns the single season record of 691, set in 1994. Matt Stafford has 685 attempts, with 1 game left to play. With 7 attempts next week, Matthew Stafford will have the record.

Steven Jackson went over 10,000 career rushing yards a few weeks back. Jackson has 990 yards rushing on the season and only needs 10 yards next week to notch his 8th straight season of rushing for 1,000+ yards.

Adrian Peterson has 1,898 yards rushing on the season and is 102 yards away from 2,000 yards, and 208 yards away from breaking Eric Dickerson's record of 2,105 yards. Minnesota plays Green Bay next week.

Calvin Johnson (117) and Brandon Marshall (113) have a chance to finish the season with 2nd most receptions in a single season. They won't reach Marvin Harrison's all time record of 143 receptions, set in 2002, but they could reach the 2nd spot, of 123 receptions, set by Herman Moore in 1995 and Wes Welker in 2009.

Speaking of Wes Welker, he has 100 receptions on the season, his 5th season of 100+ receptions, which is a new NFL record.

Calvin Johnson has 1,892 receiving yards on the season and passed Jerry Rice's single season mark of 1,848 yards, set in 1995. Calvin Johnson only needs 108 receiving yards to hit the 2,000 yard mark. If Calvin Johnson gets 214 yards receiving next week (he had 225 yards this week), he would end up with 2,106 yards receiving, which would best Eric Dickerson's single season rushing record of 2,105, set in 1984.

On a Denver related note, it would be nice to see Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker both end up with 1,000+ receiving yard seasons with 10+ TDs. Denver has never had 2 receivers notch 1,000+ yards receiving and 10+ TDs in the same season. DMT has 87 receptions for 1,312 yards and 9 TDs. Eric Decker has 78 receptions for 988 yards and 11 TDs.

Peyton Manning is 377/554 (68.1%) for 4,355 yards with 34 TDs and 11 INTs.

The single season passing marks for the Denver Broncos are: completions (384 Jay Cutler in 2008), attempts (616 Jay Cutler in 2008), completion percentage (68.1%) by Peyton Manning in 2012 with Brian Griese at 66.7% in 2002), 4,526 yards (Jay Cutler in 2008), and 34 TDs (34 TDs Peyton Manning in 2012). I look for Peyton Manning to break all of them this season, except the passing attempts mark, which is fine, as it means Denver starting running the ball well down the stretch run.

All purpose yards: Darren Sproles set the record with 2,696 all purpose yards in 2011. Randall Cobb has 2,342 all purpose yards with 1 game left to play. With only 101 all purpose yards today from Cobb, Sproles will probably keep the record.

The single season sack mark of 22.5 was set by Michael Strahan in 2001. 3 players have a chance to reach that mark. J.J. Watt had 1 sack today, to give him 20.5 sacks with 1 game left to play. Aldon Smith has 19.5 sacks with tonight's game being played right now, as well as next week's game. Von Miller had 1.5 sacks today, to give him 17.5 on the season, which surpassed Elvis Dumervil's club record of 17.0 sacks, set in 2009. Von Miller won't break the NFL record, but props on the team record and a shot at 20 sacks. One a side note, Elvis Dumervil had 2 sacks today, which gives him 11.0 sacks on the season.

The punting yards record in a season could fall as well. The record of 4,968 yards was set by Andy Lee in 2007. Dave Zastudil of Arizona has 4,904 punting yards with 1 game left to play.

The forced fumbles in a season mark could be topped. Keep in mind, the record hasn't been closely tracked until the last 12 or so seasons, so I'm sure one of the old timers has topped this mark. Osi Umenyiora holds the record of 10 forced fumbles in 2010, but Charles Tillman has 10 forced fumbles this season to tie the record, with 1 game left to play.
