Right now Brady has a real claim to being the "best" QB of his generation. He certainly plays the most important position on the best team of his generation. This season (and whatever comes after) are immensely important for Peyton's legacy.

Through no fault of Peyton Manning. He doesn't draft players and he doesn't have any control of how a defense plays. Brady has been on much more well rounded teams then Petyon was. Looking back and the Manning Colts and the Brady Patriots, the defense is the only thing the Patriots did better and that had absolutely nothing to do with Manning so it's unfair to say Brady has been the best QB of his generation. Stats say it's Manning.
