I think it's clear how much Elway getting Manning to come to Denver meant to the current success of this team.....(and no, it wasn't cuz Tebow help us get to playoffs...it was Elway selling his vision for the Broncos and how much Manning would love Denver that made Peyton's decision a no brainer for him).....
not only are we currently in the driver's seat of the AFC division title, the remaining schedules suggest we have a chance (albeit a small one) to steal homefield advantage from two teams who have actually beaten us (NE and HOU)
Add in that the level of play has been raised by having him on the team as he commands respect and demands the very best out of his team mates. Look at the players who are garnering pro bowl consideration or praises from other players, writers and analysts - Thomas, Clady, Koppen, Franklin, Decker on offense and since this team has found it helps to play with a lead (but still have ability to come from behind) a few young guys on defense like Carter, Moore, and Woodyard are also getting noticed as potentially good players.
And yet amazingly we have clowns on here that still to this ****ing day think elway set this team up for long term failure.....wow.
