Most of these politicians aren't the same issue to issue. If you think grouping them into smaller, more defined sub-categories will make a difference, it wouldn't. Even in multi-party systems, they have to form coalitions.
Not at all. There's a massive difference between golfing against your playing partner and golfing against an entire field. Having more parties in the mix would force candidates to focus on their message. Mudslinging would be problematic.
