We don't have real liberals to pick from or real conservatives. We seem to be trapped between extremists which has created the even stranger phenomenom of groups polarized positions not realizing they are now, unofficially, on the same side. It's like a shell game between plutocrats and autocrats with each consideration arguing over which short sighted short term decision is more important.
Oddly enough, from a press stand point, the smaller the trivial detail the more the press wants to expand coverage. Where we fail is in creating, protecting, and evolving a sincere and free press. Internet, despite it's advantages, is as censored, stripped down, and polluted as television or cable.
