I imagine John Elway requested it saying "I want Broncos fans to have a fresh example of what a dismal quarterback/fullback/punt protector they had running the offense last season, so when they tune in Sunday night they will know how much of an improvement Peyton Manning is over Tim Tebow."
It's either that or the market research teams think that the raging circus of Tebow lunatics was a biproduct of desperate fans who forgot what a real quarterback looked like, and became so enamored with Tebows play that they will follow him in spite of their favorite franchises commitment to success.
