WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal court on Thursday rejected a Texas law that would require voters to present photo IDs to election officials before being allowed to cast ballots in November.
A three-judge panel in Washington unanimously ruled that the law imposes "strict, unforgiving burdens on the poor" and noted that racial minorities in Texas are more likely to live in poverty.
A defeat for organized crime, a.k.a. the republican party.
... I'd love to know what the political persuasions were on that panel, since the excuse they gave is hilarious and pathetic.
According to their logic, then --
It is "strict and unforgiving" to expect ID to check out a library book, ride on an airplane, cash a check, get a job, open a bank account, buy a car, or enter a federal building. OH how oppressive this country is!
Worse, people actually believe that excuse. All it tells me is that the Dems are knee-deep in voter fraud and want to keep it that way.
The gullibility of liberals never ceases to amaze.
