Sorry, Blue. These guys couldn't give a damn about the truth. They only care about winning - whatever it takes. But I commend you for trying.
Yeah, it was Coulter who spread the Cleland smear - including the line that he picked up the grenade because he was drunk. The real story, as told by the Medic who actually witnessed the event, was that Cleland was climbing into a chopper when a "cherry" (a new guy in country) dropped a grenade that he had attached incorrectly to his gear, which exploded under Cleland.
I'm surprised that any American who respects the idea of patriotism would continue to stick up for these people (Coulter, Rove, etc.) - but they do.
