But no we were discussing this and not only does Verlander have 2 no hitters, how many almost no hitters has he had? He and I can remember 4 separate times when he's carried a no-no into the 8th inning or later in just the past few years.

Verlander is extraordinary. I will put him up against any pitcher in the game today. By the end of his career if he can stay healthy, I'm confident he will be among the all-time greats.
