Gotta say I actually like the Big Island better than Maui and Oahu. Lot's of open space. I could see myself living there. Not near the resorts but either on the northern or souther tip.
I wasn't eaten by a shark but got nailed by some urchins while snorkeling and the fishing, although fun, sucked, the day we went out.
Flights-ok
Lodging-ok
but I forgot how frigging expensive it is to EAT in Hawaii. I don't know how the locals make it.
