Funny and true. I was in a group that insisted on running a line driver out of the back of my amp line to the board. Of course that was a different sound than I was generating outta my speakers, so I wanted a mike. Tom didn't get it, insisted mikes picked up too much ambient sound. So for awhile, this was a common exchange ........

"Tell Casey to turn down his amp"
Tell Tom to mike my amp and get rid of the line driver
"Tell Casey to turn down his amp"
Tell Tom to mike my amp and get rid of the line driver
"Tell Casey to turn down his amp"
Tell Tom to mike my amp and get rid of the line driver

Finally I was able to explain, finally understood and agreed to mike my amp.

So I turned it down. For awhile
