Texans waived DT DeMario Pressley.
Pressley is a low-end three-technique prospect for 4-3 teams, so he never had a shot to stick when Houston switched to a 3-4. The 25-year-old may draw a bit of interest on waivers from teams desperate for an interior pass rusher.

Texans released WR Andre' Davis.
Davis turns 32 in June and missed all of the 2010 season with a tailbone injury, so he never had a fighting chance to see his projected 2011 salary of $4.7 million. Davis was once one of the NFL's top special teamers and a viable situational deep threat, but he may struggle to find a home in free agency.
